There is a lot of people that are trying to lose weight and they put all the effort to do it. They start with various diets, starve themselves but still some way they can't lose weight. It makes them think that it is impossible for them to lose weight and to feel unhappy and unattractive. They do not realize that it is their bad habits that is keeping them down. If you want to succeed in your mission and to start living a healthy and happy life, you need to know your bad habits and to change them immediately.
Now I will share with you the most common bad habits that people have and if you also have some of these habits, do your best to change them as this will make it easier for you to reach your goal of losing weight.
1 – NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP
Now, you probably think how sleep and weight-gaining do not
have any association, but you are wrong. Not getting enough sleep can really
make you gain weight because of the cortisol – stress hormone that limits your
body’s ability to process sugar through insulin. When not getting enough sleep
cortisol starts increasing and that way sugar overage starts
turning into fat.
According to some studies, too much sleep can as well make you gain weight. You should shoot for an average of 6-7 hours of sleep per night.
2 – SKIPPING MEALS
Skipping meals seems like a logical thing when talking about
weight loss because you are consuming fewer calories. But unfortunately, this
is a bad habit that even might make you gain weight.
When you skip your meal, your metabolism slows down. That way it makes it monger to burn calories when you eat your next meal. Some studies have shown that people that choose to skip meals are 4 times more likely to gain weight than normal.
Likewise, meal skipping would make you more hungry so you will probably overeat during the next one.
3 – EATING ‘LOW FAT’ FOODS
A lot of people stopped buying and eating food that contains fat because it has a lot of calories. This food instead of fats contains more sugars and some bad chemical additives that are much worse for your body than fats. Our bodies are storing sugar faster which means that it will likewise make us hungrier sooner.
