Everyone wants to look young, that’s for sure, but there is no way to stop the clock. Getting older is a normal part of being a mortal creature. Still, some people in their 60s look like they're in their 40s, while some people in their 30s look like they're in their 50s. Everything depends on our lifestyle and daily habits.

There are some everyday habits that are making you feel and look older than you actually are, so be sure to get rid of them.

Much stress

We all have stress in our lives. Whether it’s a demanding job or problems in our personal lives, how we manage the ups and downs of life really matters. But chronic stress can take part in your health, impairing the immune system and speeding up the aging process. You should remove yourself from the environment that is stressful for you if you want to slow down the aging process of your skin. You can start to meditate as well.

Exfoliating too often

Eliminate dead skin cells once in a while is not a bad thing and you should practice deep exfoliation just once a month when you're young. If you are doing it very often, you will make the cell turnover rate happen quicker than your skin can keep up with and end up removing good, healthy cells before they're ready to go.

Terrible sleep schedule

In case you didn’t know but the sleeping schedule is very important when it comes to how fast you age. The less you sleep the more your brain will age, and likewise, too much sleeping isn’t good too. So you shouldn’t sleep too little or too much but find the optimum of 7-9 hours per night.

Everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health, but it is also bad for your looks too. Smoking can activate enzymes that breakdown your skin elasticity which will make you look older than you really are.

Regular physical activity

Regular physical activity is a must for your health! The most important thing about it is that regular exercise prevents injuries that will limit your mobility and independence which will be bad for your health and make you feel older.

Sitting up straight with your shoulders back is a strong indicator of the way you will age, including the level of independence you may have when you become older. A study found that those who spines are most likely to need assistance at a late age. Bad posture can lead to painful joints, arthritis, and internal problems, and all of this can cause you to age faster.

Using chemical infused skincare products

Skincare products you use every day can be the main reason for the various problems of your skin. They may contain some ingredients that are bad for the health of your skin. Many skincare products have hormone-disrupting chemicals like phthalates, pesticides, parabens, and plastic that can mimic hormones and destroy others. It will cause internal signaling problems and lead to premature cell death that leads to aging.

Excess sunbathing

As amazing as the sun feels on your skin, sunbathing is one of the worst things you can do to your skin. Exposure to the UV rays will weaken your skin cells and blood vessels that will cause tanned and dry skin. It can also make your skin more susceptible to bruising.
